The RH Travel team has continued its global business travel marathon, which kicked off in March of this year. The latest destination was Southlake, Texas, USA.
As previously reported, in less than two months, representatives of RH Travel, a US-based company, have participated in several key events across Europe and Asia, including:
- The world's largest tourism trade show, ITB Berlin 2024;
- The inaugural APAC OTA and Consolidator Leaders Connect 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand;
- An exploratory visit to the regional office of Turkish Airlines in Chișinău, Moldova, followed by a strategic meeting with the staff of RH Travel's European office;
- The signing of a long-term partnership contract with Link Tour Air in Yerevan, Armenia.
The "home" trip to Southlake was prompted by an exclusive event, Sabre Space, held on April 24-25 at the headquarters of North America’s largest global distribution systems provider for air bookings. The meeting brought together top travel industry leaders to discuss securing a competitive edge in today’s challenging market.
Andy Finkelstein, Senior Vice President of Sabre Global Agency Sales & Delivery, outlined the primary objectives of the meeting: "We discussed what it takes to secure a winning edge in today’s hypercompetitive marketplace, including evolving traveler expectations and their impact on businesses, the increasingly crucial role of technology in modern retailing, and how to leverage it with insights from a special guest from Google. We also tackled new market dynamics like NDC and explored untapped revenue opportunities in lodging, virtual payments, and more."
Igor Kopmar, Founder and CEO of RH Travel, Inc., noted the intensity of the Saber Space agenda: "In just one business day, it was possible to attend around ten presentations from authoritative speakers. What particularly impressed me was how many experts shared their insights on why and how travel agencies need to adapt to the evolving ecosystem today and remain competitive in tomorrow’s market. For our company, which works with hundreds of agencies and thousands of travel agents, understanding these trends and being prepared for new challenges is immensely important."
Participants also discussed the latest market and global travel trends, advancements in NDC offers, and ways to streamline travel operations and enhance travel offerings through multi-source content. Discussions also covered what to expect from Sabre’s Artificial Intelligence-driven technology, with additional topics on automation, revenue generation, and other efficiency products and solutions within the travel ecosystem.
